Extension of REGA air base, Mollis GL

Extension of REGA air base, Mollis GL

The Swiss Air Rescue (REGA) is planning to expand its existing air base of operations in Mollis GL, Switzerland. In order to contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions, it is envisaged to use thermal ground water to supply energy in form of heat to the new building.

In addition, it is planned to keep at least one of the landing fields free of snow and ice during the winter period through geothermal heating. For the time being, there are drilled under our supervision three ground water wells (2 to extract the ground water and one to return the used water into the ground water). Subsequently, pumping and infiltration tests will be conducted in order to obtain the necessary hydrogeological data for the concession application, including ground water modelling.
